EXTT6=BALLAD OF YARMOUTH CASTLE:\n\nWell, it's four o'clock in the after
EXTT6=noon\nand the anchors have been weighed.\nFrom Miami to Nassau,\nsh
EXTT6=e's bound across the waves.\n\nShe'll be headin' south through Bis
EXTT6=cayne Bay\ninto the open sea.\nYarmouth Castle, she's a-dyin' and
EXTT6=don't know it.\n\nNow the many years she's been to sea,\nshe's seen
EXTT6= the better times.\nShe gives a groan of protest\nas they cast awa
EXTT6=y her lines.\n\nAnd the grumble of her engines\nand the rust along
EXTT6=her spine\ntells the Castle she's too old to be sailin'.\n\nBut the
EXTT6= sands run out within her heart;\na tiny spark glows red.\nIt smou
EXTT6=lders through the evening;\nThere's laughter overhead.\n\nNow the m
EXTT6=en are served, and the cards are dealt,\nand the drinks are passe
EXTT6=d around.\nDeep within the fire starts a-burnin'.\n\nNow it's midni
EXTT6=ght on the open sea,\nand the moon is shining bright.\nSome people
EXTT6= join the party, \nand others say good-night.\n\nThere's many who a
EXTT6=re sleeping now;\nit's been a busy day.\nAnd a tiny wisp of smoke
EXTT6=is a-risin'.\n\n"Oh Lord," she groans, "I'm burning!"\n"Let someone
EXTT6= understand!"\nBut her silent plea is wasted\nin the playin' of th
EXTT6=e band.\n\nEverybody's dancin' on her deck\nand they're havin' such
EXTT6= a time.\nThen a voice says,\n"Shut up and deal, I'm losin'."\n\nDee
EXTT6=p within the Yarmouth Castle, \nthe fire begins to glow.\nIt leaps
EXTT6= into the hallways\nand climbs and twists and grows.\n\nAnd the pai
EXTT6=nt she wore to keep her young,\noh Lord, how well it burns.\nAnd s
EXTT6=oon that old fire is a-ragin'.\n\nUp beneath the bridge it's climb
EXTT6=in' fast;\nthe captain stands aloft.\nHe calls up to the boatswain
EXTT6=, 'n' says,\n"Boatswain, we are lost."\n\nFor the ragged hoses in t
EXTT6=he racks, \nno pressure do they hold.\nAnd the people down below \n
EXTT6=will soon be dyin'.\n\nAll amidships, oh she's blazin' now;\nit's s
EXTT6=preadin' fore and aft.\nThe people are a-scramblin' \nas the fire
EXTT6=blocks their path.\n\nThe evil smoke surrounds them,\nand they're f
EXTT6=allin' in their tracks.\nAnd the captain in his lifeboat\nis a-lea
EXTT6=vin'.\n\nOh then the ship, Bahama Star, \ncomes steamin' through t
EXTT6=he night.\nShe sees the Castle blazin', \nand 'tis a terrible sigh
EXTT6=t.\n\n"Jump down, jump down!" the captain cries, \n"We'll save you
EXTT6=if we can!"\nThen the paint on his funnels is a-fryin'.\n\n"God hel
EXTT6=p the ones who sleep below,\nand cannot find the way!\nThank God f
EXTT6=or those we've rescued\nupon this awful day."\n\nNow the heroes, th
EXTT6=ey are many, \nbut the times are growin' slim.\nAnd now from stern
EXTT6= to bow\nshe's a-blazin'.\n\nOh the Yarmouth Castle's moanin';\nshe'
EXTT6=s cryin' like a child.\nYou can hear her if you listen \nabove the
EXTT6= roar so wild.\n\nIs she cryin' for the ones who lie\nwithin her mo
EXTT6=lten sides?\nOr cryin' for herself, I'm a-wonderin'.\n\nBut the liv
EXTT6=in' soon were rescued --\nthe ones who lived to tell.\nFrom the St
EXTT6=ar they watched her\nas she died there in the swells.\n\nLike a toy
EXTT6= ship on a mill pond,\nshe burned all through the night,\nthen sli
EXTT6=pped 'neath the waves\nin the mornin'.
